Selective Laser Sintering

The classic additive manufacturing technology: Selective Laser Sintering.

This is how it works: A roller or scraper applies plastic powder to a work platform. The layer and contour information generated by the 3D model is scanned onto each powder layer via laser, during which process the powder melts. The work platform is now lowered step by step and a new layer is added. Every process step is completed with the utmost care. The energy provided by the laser is absorbed by the powder and results in the melting of the powder particles only in that specific area. The unmelted remaining powder can simply be removed via blasting after the manufacturing process is finished. This allows creating undercuts and cavities, too. The positive outcome for you: The completed laser sintered components have strength properties that are closely to those of injection-molded components. Check out the many advantages of this unique technology.
